Sleepover! Kaicee decided to have Katie sleepover because we know that don't see each other everyday or anything. Mike and I went out for dinner and they stayed home with Ian, Hanna and her friend Jade and dressed up and played. Good times!

Today was a great at home Monday. Ben and I were bored, so we took a Goldfish cracker box from Costco, put some paper on it and made a robot head. He played with it for hours!

This picture is another random one that means oh SO very much to my hubby. It is a picture of Mike's dear Strat o matic, which he has played for years now and adores almost as much as he loves me. lol!
Yay for fake baseball, even though it is only paper in my mind todays pic is all about Mike and his set up that I've seen so many times. This shot was taken in the middle of game #100 of his current season.

Today, Hanna and I went to Starbucks for some coffee then out to Shubie park for a great wintery walk. We then did some grocery shopping while Dad and Ian were home playing hockey. Kaicee was away all weekend playing with her friend Katie so we were all set.
Hanna then hurried home to get busy with her school work. I took a kind of funky shot of her stuff while she was away from the table.

This picture pretty much sums up our Saturday night. After fighting a gross cold and hitting the malls all day with my sister sans children, the hubby and I had our friends Tina, Barry and Kim over for some football playoffs, beer, food and cards. I love Saturdays!

Todays picture, just plain old cracks me up. It is my hubby Mike on the telephone having a fight with the insurance company over something ridiculous.
I listened to him and giggled in the next room for almost 20 minutes while he got more and more irrate. Awesomeness! A regular old friday, I need to get out more.

Todays photo is purely random such is winter. It started out nice enough this morning with the afternoon becoming cold and damp feeling. I wasn't able to get the kids out for long today, no running, lots of indoor play time and dancing up a storm. The average winter Thursday!

Mike and I went out tonight to dinner and then to see Avatar, which Mike was SO excited to see. The dinner was great and they movie was amazing. When we got home from the movie, I found Kaicee all tucked in tight and sleeping so sweetly. This shot is todays pic of the day!

Today was the first day of Karate for my boy, Ian. He joined his little sister and they are all set to kick butt as the Sisco tag team. He does however, have some catching up to do though as she already has a stripe on her white belt.

Cardboard boxes, really what is the obsession to children. I had to make todays pictures about this, it boggles my mind. My hubby took home an old home theatre box from his store last week and the two kids actually had a mini fight over who it was going to belong to. My hubby then cut it into a 'clubhouse' aka put a window and door it in and said it belongs to everyone. I also made a mini version of the bigger one so there is now two.

Today, was my first day back with the little kids here and they played with those boxes ALL DAY LONG! I mean for hours. Craziness, but it makes a cute picture and a fun day of playtime. Next Christmas no gifts just cardboard boxes for all. Yay!

My picture for today is a silly one. The kids and I went out to the mall so they could spend some gift cards and Christmas cash they had. We were on our way to pick up dad at work after a Starbucks trip of course and Hanna was singing a song thats lyrics said 'I know what I did wasn't clever'. She laughed and says 'mom who really would ever say, what I did wasn't clever'? We then mocked it endlessly and I snapped a shot while stopped at a stop sign, of Hanna doing a clever face, in mockery of the term. Geeks yes, a great day, yes for sure. I love silly time with my kids.

Storm day

Now had this been a school day my kids would be cheerfully celebrating. However, it is still Christmas break so while they are delighted to see lots of snow down, it lacks the lustre of the no school announcement they so desire to hear.

They all slept in until 11:00 am this morning which I believe is a record for this house. I was already well awake with the paper read, breakfast had and driveway was shovelled by the time they were up and at it. I tried to snow blow out my driveway for the first time ever but, there is a major problem with the snow blower, or I am clueless. Or, perhaps I was suppose to push with all my power and hardly have any snow shooting out of it for 10 minutes before I gave up and shovelled. Ughh! lml!

So here is my picture of the day, a winter weather shot of my front railing. A little prettier a shot I suppose then would be the one of me with the snow blower, had one been taken. Thankfully, the kids were still asleep at that time or the photo of the day may be a different one. :)

The first of many...

Or at least 365 for the year, pictures that is. I decided to follow a group of ladies I know and commit to a challenge to take a photo everyday this year and post it somewhere. Seems like a rather tough challenge. But, really how hard is it to click a photo? I am usually on the tailend of a camera anyway, so I am hoping that but doing this I will be able to see my life through my own eyes. That statement seems rather crazy, however it is certainly not everyday that we stop and enjoy our lifes or take the time to look at it in photos. During the events of the last few years of my life, I have realized that time goes by so fast and you just never know. Slowing it all down some and looking at each down sounds amazing to me.
My 365 challenge, I expect will be, random, silly, serious, beautiful, ugly, boring and busy! Such as my life on a day to day basis. The photos will be taken on various cameras, as I have a variety from SLR to a very simple point and shoot. I am planing on posting the photos with an explanation as to why I decided to use the photo as my daily choice. I may not post everyday but I do plan on posting at least once a week and making sure that each photo has it own post whenever possible.
I hope I can meet this challenge and enjoy it, even if I am the only one.

This photo is of a few of my favorite little people. It is my nephew Devin, my nephew Benen, my friends beautiful daughter whom I get to hang out with daily Katie and of course my wonderfully amazing youngest little girl Kaicee. We were all together for my yearly New Years Day Feast! It is a party after all the other parties of the holiday, which involves, lots of friends and family, a few drinks, some cards, and of course tons of food. What a great day indeed.
