Beautiful people

Of course I love my kids and happen to think they are quite cute, I am afterall their mother. Hanna likes to dress Kaicee up and do her make up like a little doll, it always makes me smile. Kaicee is so caught between tomboy and drama queen. With an older brother and sister as influences how could she be anything but. Ian being the token male athlete, running, playing kicking, basically 90 miles an hour from dusk till dawn. Hanna being the uber girly girl, hair always nicely done, make up on, pink everywhere, sparkles and jewels taking over her world kind of girl.

On this day, Hanna got Kaicee to put away her running sneakers and come indoors long enough to get her hair and make up done. While she does look a little too Toddlers in tiaras for my taste circa 1980, she sure is beautiful.

OMG She's 14!!

Hanna that is. I remember 14 as though it were yesterday and I am really not sure why? It isn't like 14 should be a number that sticks out a lot. It freaks me out that Hanna is 14 though. 14 seems so much older than 13.

So naturally with Hanna turning 14 a few days ago this post is all about her. I adore her in so many ways. Not JUST because I am her mom and I should adore her.

She is a great person, an amazing person. She is so full of life, energy and happiness. She is unique and smart and totally her own person with her own thoughts and feelings and no one can tell her any different. I am inspired by her daily. She is very strong and free in a plain and simple sort of way. She is beautiful on the inside and outside without ever trying. She is creative and brillant in everything she does!
So here she is, being silly with a friend and mid action (doing her dance jumps!).
